New PETA Super Bowl ad banned by NBC PETA put out a very racy and sexy ad to be aired during the Super Bowl, but apparently NBC considered it inappropriate for a nationwide audience.
Yopu can check out the ad here: http://www.peta.org/conte...c=pbsaec09 I have to put my two cents in here. Ever since the whole Janet Jackson debacle during Super Bowl XXXVIII, I've noticed that a few advertisers have been making deliberately racy commercials that they know won't air during the Super Bowl, and since they already probably have a limited ad budget and could only afford to pay for one 30-second ad spot anyway, they make overly racy commercials which the network will reject, but this information gets reported on by all of the news channels, and they use those news stories to direct them to the website to see the banned commercial for free (or at least a lot less then what they would have been forced to pay to air during the Super Bowl).

Yeah, this ad, in now way, was ever intended on actually airing on the superbowl. In fact, when has PETA ever aired on the superbowl? But this will get them a ton of press, it is actually a kind of sexy commercial, like Paris Hilton's Carl's Jr. ad. But this was NEVER going to pass any sort of censors, superbowl or not.

Fuck PETA.
I admire their intentions, but their methdology is exploitative and deeply sexist. It is not possible that the only way to get people concerned about animal welfare is to exploit human female bodies. PETA can shove this ad up their ass. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

That spot makes me want to be gay, not a vegetarian.

Like PETA could afford a Super Bowl ad. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

"Studies show..." What studies are they talking about? Biggest cop-out ever.
And how is a woman who doesn't eat meat gonna satisfy a man fully? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

And how is a woman who doesn't eat meat gonna satisfy a man fully? I think it's a fair question! We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
