I consider myself to be "even-handed."
I write, throw, bowl, brush my teeth, and swing a hammer right handed. I golf, swing a bat, eat, hacky-sack, play tennis (or ping-pong), and do most other tow-handed activities left-handed. Overall, I am much stronger with my left side. I am a weight lifter, and I can lift more weight with my left arm than my right arm. I also can see much better with my left eye than my right eye (20/40 left, 20/80 right). I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...

are you lefty? or just a Lefty admirer? A lefty lover I would feel super special if I had a boyfriend who was left handed. Love left handedness, not sure why maybe I should add that to my fetish list? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I had no idea any of these people were lefties and I've met most of them. In my defense though, I only notice lefties when they are writing. but he cuts accurately- i cant cut using my left hand :disbeief: got hubby to try he couldnt do it and his writing is so neat- much neater than mine- im messy with both hands (i can write left-handed if i have to) seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before

When I played softball I batted left handed (but threw the ball right handed). I play mini golf mostly left-handed, but I can play both ways fairly equally. In pool, I can shoot left handed if I need to, but generally play right handed. When I tried skateboarding, it was natural for me to be “goofy foot”, or lefty. Same with snowboarding, but I would switch stance all the time. When I was a teenager I practiced writing with my left hand cause I thought it would be cool to be totally ambidextrous. And to this day I write OK with my left hand. It’s legible, at least. I just found out there’s a word for this. Cross dominance! From: http://en.wikipedia.org/w...-dominance Cross-dominance, also known as mixed-handedness, mixed dominance, or hand-confusion, is a motor skill manifestation where a person favors one hand for some tasks and the other hand for others. For example, a cross-dominant person might write with the left hand but throw primarily with the right. Ambidexterity is a well-known but amazingly rare variant of cross-dominance, but cross-dominant people may also be left or right-handed rather than ambidextrous. It can also refer to mixed laterality, which refers to a person favoring eyes, ears, feet, or hands on one side of the body. A person who is Cross-dominant can also be stronger on the opposite side of the body that they favor; for example, a right-handed person can be stronger on the left side. Cross-dominance can often be a problem when shooting or in activities that require aim. Famous cross-dominant people • Leonardo da Vinci - Renaissance artist and scientist • Albert Einstein - Scientist • Richard Feynman - Scientist • Oscar Wilde - Playwriter and poet • Nikola Tesla - Inventor • Michelangelo - Artist • Benjamin Franklin - Scientist • Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi - Religious and political leader • Ludwig van Beethoven - composer • Shawn Michaels - WWE superstar Guess I'm a cross-dominant lefty then It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I am left-handed. So is my wife. So are 5 of my closest friends. And 4 of their 5 wives/husbands/significant others.
I'm the only lefty in my family for 4 generations though - none of my grandparents were, my parent aren't, my siblings aren't, none of their children are. I have never actively sought out other lefty's, and I've often thought it interesting that most (not all) of the close relationships I've formed are with lefty's. I am also old enough to have been punished for being left-handed. I'm not that old, dammit! - Corporal punishment was alive and well in Ireland until well into the 80's. I don't really remember it myself, but my mother has often recounted the tale for me. Apparently, every time I'd pick up a pen in my left hand the teacher would hit it with a big wooden duster, and tell me to use my right hand. I could already read and write before I went to school, so writing with my right hand was never going to happen. When my mum found out she marched up to the school and threatened to break every bone in her body if she ever laid a finger (or duster) on me again. She then went to the principal and pretty much repeated the same threats. Good old mum! The next week I was moved up to the next class. Because of that, and because I was already young starting school, I was always about 2 years younger than my class mates. And I always thought it was because I was a child genius. Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.
