agreed, the thread should be "why is Oprah flat chested" With all that money she could afford a pair of flotation devices Wake up children, dance the dance electric... there isn't much time.... who farted? ...was it u?

Or, more to the point of this thread: "Oprah's a billionaire, had a hand in electing the next U.S. president and has enough sway with her demographic -- middle-aged women and beyond -- to make books bestsellers and 'threaten' the beef industry."
Why does she care enough to devote her time and energy to humanitarian causes? She could spend her money and time on becoming and staying a size 2... God bless Oprah. And, I'm far from being one of her fans. But, God bless Oprah. . [Edited 1/19/09 6:57am]

Oprah's weight issue is the perfect example of how weight loss isn't just a matter of "willpower". If anybody has discipline, drive, willpower--it's Oprah Winfrey.
Why some people can't lose weight and/or keep it off is a deep subject for many people. For someone like her who created an empire and is a workaholic and billionaire--you certainly can't say it's just laziness or bad eating. There's a strong psychological component there, alongside the thyroid issue, apparently. When emotions are involved in weight issues, often there is some protection going on, i.e., using the "padding" to continue to get some type of emotional payoff. For some people, it's to protect them from sexual attention. For others, it's the chemical release that overeating gives them--endorphins that relax and ease tension. AKA, AnotherLoverToo

I agree - with her money, I would take out an ad with my middle finger up in all print and TV. The caption would read, "think I'm fat?" My attitude would be like, I may be fat, but I can buy out every one of y'all, so kiss the dimple in the middle and bring me a cheesecake. y'all people are incredible....
