Guess I need some socks today

It was -20 here in Chicago last night. I wish I WOULD be so high and stupid as to go outside without a stitch on. I'd be dead. People who do things like that are special cases with hot blood. I say mo' power to 'em. But seeing as I was born with asthma, bronchitis, and sinus issues, I can't be so bold.

Shooot. Before the negatives even came, my hand felt like it was burning and about to fall off when I shoveled the snow. It was about 0 exactly. I rushed inside so fast to heat up again. Scary stuff. I cancelled everything this week once those temps began to dip.

It was 55 degress arriving at work today, we all had SWEATERS on! But now it is up to 69 degrees, and we are feeling great!! warm weather all weekend long, mid seventies.

I'm one of those people.

suppose to be 78 degrees here today
but I still wear closed shoes in the winter...

I spoke to a student about it because she came in with flip-flops on; her feet were bright red & chapped!
She gave me some flippant reply about her mother making her take off the tank top, but she wasn't making her change her shoes! OH HELL NAW!
