I personally don't like hairspray, and don't really have any need for it. It makes my hair stiff, sticky, and nasty feeling. I think the girl who cuts my hair secretly wants to bitchslap me, because she loves hairspray, and I will not let her put that shit on my hair. I have nice, thick, coarse, naturally curly hair. All's I need to do is put some mousse in it when it's still wet, blow it dry, and voila!, I'm all set to go. That's all I need to make me happy.

Only if I have to have a 'do for a show - in which case I reach for the big purple can of Aqua Net. And I used hairspray a lot when I did television.

In general, though, I find hairspray to be too "heavy" for my hair.

I use gel, and even gel can be kind of gross

my ex used to use hairspray in his hair...it was bad..i think he used to spray at his hair with it...there was always an accumulation of it on the floor where the rug wasn't at...
and yeah gel..can be gross...

Occasiaonlly I'll use some root boost if I want to give my hair some volume (which is bascially hair spray sprayed on the roots of your hair before blowing it out).

Yes, but very little and only on my roots to help my really heavy hair get a bit more volume. Other than that I use nothing....I like my hair soft and movable...nothing worse than crunchy hair.
