I experienced snow for the first time when I went to NY for winter in '02. It's really beautiful when the first snow falls, after that it's just annoyin...and speakin of winter...I don't like it
I was sooo eager and ready to get back to my always-warm Caribbean country Never thought I'd ever be that happy to see my lil island I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh

Wow Portugal, that is rare for snow, is there even a word in Portugese for snow. I had English friends who went to the Algarve for their winters, maybe not this year. Are you up north though near Oporto or that area. Our paper showed snow in Madrid Spain, but thats inland.
I wish it did here in Auckland, it NEVER snows here So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

I wish it did here in Auckland, it NEVER snows here I live very near Oporto. And yes we have a word for snow..."Neve". It's fairly common to snow in some parts of my country, especially in the Serra da Estrela and the Trás-Os-Montes region... Galicia is also very close to were I live. Strangely, foreigners think Portugal's climate is just like the Algarve...and that's is pure ignorance.

You have a lovely home Stacey, I'm shocked! I mean, I hate shoveling it, but snow is beautiful! Nice pics, Mike! I'm glad you got some snow! "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

after that, fuck snow. fuck it to hell. I'll be shoveling 7 inches of the stuff by Sunday, the weatherman says. I fuckin' love snow..
Here's a pic I took last week when we had a very small downfall. Some people are like Slinkies...
They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Strangely, foreigners think Portugal's climate is just like the Algarve...and that's is pure ignorance. I agree, I know your part is more maritime temperate climate than Mediterranean. Its like here in New Zealand, everyone thinks its like Auckland all over the country. Auckland is in the winterless north, further south like Christchurch and Queenstown we get regular snow (In Chch it snowed 7 times in 2006). There it gets to snowlevel. One year it snowed on some mountains in the Coromandel 100km south and the nearest mountains Ruapehu and Ngaruahoe are 300km south which get snow most of the year (They have skifields). But here it just rains and rains in the winter, which I what I expect it does most of the time there. Has it gone yet. So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch?
