went hiking today in Oak Mountain State park in Alabama. grew up as a kid here so 'm familiar with the land, but this time, there was a Zen-like awareness of my surroundings while walking the trails.

B4 noon pretty much tired myself out, & U should have seen me wandering the trails wondering if had gotten lost. 2 much of the time, I think we forget jut how beautiful the world around each of us is. 4 me, nature always has a way of grounding me. have a love affair with nature. And though 'll B quite honest-- much prefer the salty air, mangrove swamps, and aqua blue waters of Florida, think 'm developing a newfound love affair with the woods that were so familiar 2 me as a child.

Here are some pictures that took. Forgive the fact that several of the pictures are over-exposed-- pretty much used my DSLR as a point-and-shoot today and didn't spend anytime correcting it in photoshop.
