NBA Thread 2.0 It seems that the old thread has run its course.
Portland took down the Celtics today, and they didn't even have the services of Brandon Roy! I love the defensive renaissance they've had, and this kind of win can really define a season, especially for a young team like the Trailblazers. Here were my power rankings as of yesterday's games: 1. Cleveland 2. Boston 3. L.A. Lakers 4. Orlando 5. San Antonio 6. Atlanta 7. New Orleans 8. Denver 9. Portland 10. Dallas 11. Houston 12. Phoenix 13. Detroit 14. Utah 15. Miami 16. Milwaukee 17. Chicago 18. New Jersey 19. Charlotte 20. Philadelphia 21. Indiana 22. Toronto 23. Memphis 24. New York 25. Golden State 26. L.A. Clippers 27. Washington 28. Minnesota 29. Sacramento 30,000. Oklahoma City Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Don't know how the Celts can still be ahead of the Lakers, especially after the Celts just dropped 3 out of 4. And then the Cavs lost last night as well. Lakers should be in 1st on that list.
And no, the Celts won't win 70. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

And not only because there's way too many good teams now than when the Bulls did it, but Phil said that since they were in the midwest, the travel games weren't as brutal, but teams on the coasts (Lakers/Celts) wouldn't be able to do have that luxury of 2 hour travel times and such like the Bulls did. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

LOL Dawg, THAT'S the point Phil was saying: Since their in the midwest, they didn't have to do long travels to the west/east because they were in the midwest. The flight time was shorter to the East/West from the middle of the country. Ha made a valid point. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

It is really easy to get caught in the moment, and Boston has lost 3 of 4 at this moment. However, I think they are still the toast of the town as far as the NBA is concerned. As the teams are currently constituted, Boston is tops in my opinion.
As for my Knicks, all I can say is that they are much better than they were last year. Their problem is that they have too many bench players starting. Duhon and Lee are bona fide starters, but that is it. They need a quality stater at the 2, 4, and 5 position. Nate Robinson could be the 6th man and Harrington and Richardson could provide key minutes off of the bench. Right now I am hoping for 32 wins; that would be a dramatic improvement from last year. I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...
