i have been listening to this for about 12 hours a day for the past 2 days!!! there are 3, sometimes 4 kids in my living room playing every second of the last 2 days.... i think santa should have rethought this plan....



well, they are having quite a bit of fun and i guess thats what its about, right? just pass me the advil for this nasty headache





anybody out there play this? its actually kinda fun, they have got me out there a couple times to sing, turns out im pretty good at it

what's with this new "pick up a real instrument" attitude lately? It's a fucking video game, it's not meant to be a replacement. Playing an instrument is something completely different than playing a game. Most people don't want to learn music, notes, chords, melodies, ETC ETC ETC just to play some music. The games are popular because it's just that, a game, not a replacement.



my father has the same attitude and no matter how hard I try to show him that the kids are just enjoying a GAME, he can't stop thinking how they should be learning to play real guitars and drums. whatever.


anywayyyyy, yeah, we got it for xmas too, I can't put the mic down it's so fun!!! Our drums won't connect though now, so I'm pissed about that, it looks like it is a common problem.



I downloaded some Ramones tracks yesterday and I pretend I'm Joey Ramone in front of the TV.

i know we had a hard time hooking up our mic, turns out that you have to have on one of the controllers to make it work.

jake said, take off the top part, the drum section, take it to your xbox360 and press the connect button which is the button on the front of the grey part, its a tiny button.... push that and hold it right up to the 2 memory card slots, wait for the green light to start spinning circles i guess and then it will say its connected. hope that helps you, we are having a blast with it. good luck, the damn thing is crazy addictive!!!


oh, and to the play an instrument person up there, lighten up a little.... its not that damn serious

Tried out the ACDC version last night; loved it! Now I'm waiting for the P version to come out. Imagine that playlist?! The org would probably hate it as it could not possibly have your faves on it.

Im thinking I need to get rock band or WII for the fun of it.

One of the girls I work with came to work all bumbed because her daughter is home from college and took her drum sticks and wont give them back? I was all what the hell are you on about? She explained she is usually the drummer but her daughter fell in love with it and wont give them back.

I said she should steal them and bring them to work.

well i should have expected that response..

and i have played guitar hero and it didnt excite me in the slightest...

looked like i was playing KLAX with a guitar and music...

oh well have fun then!

People like different video games/platforms its the same with music what one may like the other may not.

I like it( Rock Band 2) better then Guitar Hero. My daughter has both. I like it, RB2, cause I was in choir in all 4 years of high school and so I can sing. I have fun. The voice is also concidered a instrument as well. I have a hard time playing the drums but I do try and have fun with it. That is what its all about FUN.

I like other games on the Wii as well( not just RB2 or GH). I love playing the sports package we got with it.

Maybe you should lighten up a bit.

This shit is a hell of a lot of fun - and everyone I played with already knew how to play all the instruments in the game and they still thought it was a blast to play.
