My deepest condolances to her family also. Heidi already told me she was such a sweet, crazy funny girl. And what a young age. It's only misery these days, people of young age dying
An old friend of mine died two weeks ago, he was father for one day, 42 years. I just can't imagine that there's a god. A big hug for you my dear. Hi Carmen, we all received an email from her husband yesterday, myself, Lottie, and Syble, I was so shocked, then I spoke to him on the phone this morning, he said she had liver failure, it happened pretty much out of the blue, then her kidneys and lungs shut down and she died on the Friday. I have passed on everyone's condolences and told him about this thread in an email. He doesn't expect Ruth to be back in the country until the New Year, but her daughter is back in the UK with family. Ruth's dad is with her husband in Lanzarote. Lottie knows, but I think she's still trying to get her head around it. I'm very sorry to hear about your friend too, that's so unfair. And, yes she was a crazy, funny girl, a lot of laughs! But, she really thought and cared about everyone too. | |

oh jen, u & i both..i spent today in shock trying to make sense of it, but realise there's no point. i only met ruth twice, but felt like i'd known her my whole life. she was that sort of person - she had a special quality about her, so warm & generous, absolutely genuine. one of the sweetest people i've ever met, she was so funny without knowing it - that was her cuteness. there were so many hysterical moments, i got some lovely memories of her.. maybe we can share later. love to dave & 'princelet' sleep tight ruth, TTFN x | |

Thank you to EVERYONE who has posted on this thread, I know Ruth would be very, very moved by all your kinds words and thoughts, she wouldn't expect it! I hope her family find some small comfort in how well thought of she was, and how much she will be missed... I'd like to dedicate 'In this bed I scream' and 'I can't make you love me' to her, she loved those songs... she was very passionate too. I hope she's at peace... sweet dreams Ruthie... | |

[Edited 12/23/08 8:41am] I've been feeling sad all day. I couldn't help but think of her although I only know her from your stories and some pics I saw back then. Thinking silly things like, she didn't have the chance to listen to Prince's new songs, she only wanted to lay down in the sun, relaxing, having cosy dinners at the beach with her hubby and kid. And only 35 years. Instead of having that careless and deserved holiday this happened, what an absolute shock. Soul sanctuary of Prince.... I already get a lump in my throat listening to this song without this awfully sad story. I already gave my condolences but I would like to give Dave and his daughter lots of strength in this very dark period | |
