Opinions please If the Broadway show "Wicked" were coming to your town, would you go see it?
Tickets for the show go on sale here tomorrow. Mid priced tickets are approx $100/US each and I'd be buying 4. The venue is allowing people to line up at midnight tonight and it is expected to sell out quickly. My family is not dying to see it, but I think they would enjoy the spectical of it if nothing else. I really want to see it. It would be a Christmas gift, but the show doesn't open here until Spring 09, so I'm thinking they'll be like WTH???? I'm firmly planted in denial

Yes. It's been here but I haven't gone. But I want to. Did that help?

I want to go see it, but the cheapo, nosebleed seats here start at $110. The decent seats go for about $300...so it ain't happening.

I saw it... it was great! Go see it, its an awesome night out.
I enjoyed that more than Blueman group, and Lion King. Hope that helps.

I've been wanting to go see it but it's too pricey for me Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul

I would go, but you should go with a friend who wants to see it as well.
Buying tickets for people who aren't that anxious to go would make me sad If you will, so will I

It would be OK at $50 a ticket, but $100 and lining up in the cold? Not even an option. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

we saw it here in MPLS recently and it was a great production. i think it would be a great night out for the family, not to mention since it's such a "hot ticket" show, it would be really special.

Thank you everyone!
I'm leaning towards getting them. My family may grumble a bit beforehand but afterwards they'll be so happy. That's just their way Still thinking about it though. I'm firmly planted in denial

I've heard nothing but good things about the show and I plan on seeing it next time I'm in NYC. So I would totally do it.

Yeah, that's what I'll do....if I can even get through. The line for tickets from the theater box office started at midnight. It's so long now that it is blocking traffic. I want to get 4 of the 2nd best seats, but right now I can't even get to the online site. Since I cannot leave work now I think I'm screwed. I'm firmly planted in denial

It has been here and every time I heard an ad for it on the radio I was convinced it was a MadTV skit or something.
But people seem to eat that shit up so...I say go for it. I'm sure your family will really appreciate it.

I hear Wicked is a pretty good show. I've had friends who gave it great remarks after catching it on B'way.

See that's the thing...they get this from my hubby...they will dig in their heels to not do something they THINK they won't like. My job is to push them to do it. I don't do it all the time, just for certain things...mainly exposure to different cultural/artisic experiences. They do end up enjoying what I drag them to...that's the #1 reason I selectively drag them. I'm firmly planted in denial
