Muse is a big sissy la la!  i'm a sissy too. i admit it. a year ago i was planning to move to san diego so i would never again have to endure the kind of weather we're having here. BUT then the economy crashed and jobs dried up and i'm still here, freezing off parts of me you don't want to know about. 
i'm counting my blessings though. for one things, minnesota (the land of many waters) will never have the kind of droughts you guys face, and the threat of our water supplies drying up by 2012, nor the fire hazards you have. we don't have the best growing season but we do pretty well with our crops. plus, it's not so crowded here, and the roads are still populated by relatively sane folks. that being said, i miss san diego right now.  I hear you all the way around! I doubt I'll stay in California in the long run! Then you'll hear me really bitch about the weather!  | |

I've felt that pain before....I was stationed at Ft. Drum, NY (north of Syracuse, just short of the Canadian border) and one lovely morning, the wind chill was a whole -59 F.....
....and somewhere, some high up muckety muck had to THINK about whether we should do physical training...he ended up having a heart and we ended up doing stairwell drills inside..... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.
