It seems that every year some TV show comes out with a list/poll of people's favorite Christmas or holiday movies and specials. The list usually consists of the following movies and specials:

Miracle On 34th Street
It's A Wonderful Life
White Christmas (a.k.a. Holiday Inn)
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town
The Year Without A Santa Claus
Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas (cartoon)
Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas (live action movie)
A Christmas Carol (starring Alistair Cooke)
A Christmas Carol (starring George C. Scott)
Meet Me In St. Louis
A Christmas Story
Christmas In Connecticut
Jingle All The Way
Love Actually
Die Hard
Silent Night, Deadly Night

Which one of these Christmas-themed movies is your favorite? Or is there some other movie or special not listed here?

I love the ones above...along with Christmas Vacation, and Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas.

Very underrated. The Simpsons dissed it one time, but I've always loved it.

As for movies, I'll put my vote in for Scrooged as well. A good 80's take on A Christmas Carol. One of my favorite parts was when Bill Murray's character told the sidewalk musicians playing "We Three Kings" (David Sanborn, Miles Davis, Paul Schaeffer) to get a job.

TV Specials: Muppet Family Christmas was always a good one.

As for TV episodes, a few favorites:

In Living Color Season 2 (feat. Reesy and CC and one of the best sketches of all time, "Homey Claus")

NewsRadio, "Christmas" (1996): Joe takes down Christmas decorations early to avoid post-holiday blues, Dave goes back home to see his family, Bill double-crosses Beth in a radio spot recording

Martin"Go Tell It On The Martin" (1994): Crazy Santa Claus takes over "Word On The Street," feat. BeBe and CeCe Winans.

Frasier "Frasier Grinch" (1995): Frasier gets wrong toy for his son.

I thought Pieces of April was very sweet in a way that didn't make me retch like holiday-oriented movies usually do.

Great Movie...and very unappreciated....

now as far as TV goes, the Boondocks Christmas episode is a classic to me....

Indeed. Love that one. Several of the Simpsons' episodes have been good, as well as the Family Guy "Merry Freakin' Christmas" one.
