In 1979 I figured it out

I was 8

Santa wore my dad's red pyjamas and all he brought for my dad was a packet of smokes, while my dad took an incredibly long shower

Santa left your dad a gift? lol

I found out when my parents accidentally left part of the price tag on one of my brother's gifts. I emphatically presented the evidence to all the older relatives in the house that day. I was so proud of myself.

Awww that's cute. I remember I was so proud when I got my period when I was 11 and told everybody in my family lol.

I remember the day when my grandmother spoiled it all for me. She said "Sweetie, you don't still believe in Santa Claus, do you???" sigh I think I was 6...is that too old to still believe? Anyway that was a bad Christmas for me...on top of finding out St. Nic was really mom and dad, my brother wrapped dog poop in a jewelery box and gave it to me for xmas neutral

My kids have known there was no Santa since they were old enough to start asking for stuff for Christmas....it was too funny when me and the wife would have to stay up past 2 in the morning trying to sneak gifts under the tree because those two would NOT go to sleep, despite many threats of Santa bypassing the house....I guess the fact that I've never lived in a house with a chimney kinda gave it away....especially since my smart-assed daughter wondered aloud how a fat man in a red suit could go unnoticed just walking in and out of people's houses.....

You know what the best part was? The box was under the tree for a week and I shook it everyday to try and figure out what it was. My mom would let us open one gift on Xmas Eve and I wanted to open that one because I never got a gift from my brother before.

I opened it and the poop was white because it was so old and dry. I cried and cried and cried and then my father gave him a beating!

My older brother told me when I was about 4 or 5. I don't remember it affecting me much one way or another.

I remember him telling me not to tell our parents we knew for fear we'd get less presents on Christmas, lol

It would be a fun exercise to have nothing under the tree on christmas morning and take the opportunity to explain that Santa requires belief to work.

Keep that up till about noon or until you can't stand the crying anymore.

EDIT: Please post video.

My sister put 'coal' under the tree last Christmas and hid the real presents.

Ya he got a beating and was punished. I could go on and on with stories about my brother, he craved attention from my father and it was often negative attention. It's sad, really.

He used to tape record me crying, and then would leave the tape recorder in a remote area of the house and hit play. My mom would run around looking for me while he hid laughing.
