WHY ERRYBODY GOTTA BE GAY?

Can't we have some variety? GATDANG- if you aint gay you a homophobe. if you aint a homophobe you gay. if you straight you really pretending 'cause erry body is undacova. Can't folk be happy with who they really are without being condemed or told that they actin like somethin else???

I'm exhausted- that's why young folks are so confused- they don't know who or what they are- they just flowin in the wind.

end of rant.
LOVE HARD.

but why the reverse now- it's like homosexuality must be the choice or if not one can't possibly be happy.

rarely are gay people told that they are actin straight- that they are undercova straight people

for a young person- it's confusing- society says you have to be either gay or tolerant- if you are straight but not the straight people want to see then you are condenmed

actually, "straight acting" is a strange double standard that exists in the gay community, and even within openly gay society, the question of following a heterosexual model for relationships is something that's a constant source of debate. so there are two sides to this story depending on whose shoes you're in.

now see that's what I didn't know. I for one would think that if a society has been oppressed for so long- they would not turn around and do unto others what they fought so hard to have stopped- it's hurtful either way

i think there is a mindset within the gay community that if you can assimilate as much as possible to look, act, and conduct your relationships as closely as possible to that of heterosexual society, then in some way you can fit in or be accepted. i think there's a lot of pressure to conform to this standard.

have you guys read some of the comments from fellow orgers about Prince, MJ, Madonna, Neyo?? Is it because they are celebrity or is it because that's how they truly feel about people who are "different" from either side of the pole?

i think some people are misinformed or some people just want to get a rise out of folks because they think it's still "scandalous" to be gay. and other people are just ignorant and think that because someone is flamboyant or looks or acts different, they must be gay. who knows. it says more about the person posting the rumors than the people being posted about. we all know prince isn't gay and if he's struggling with issues, then that's his private business. madonna is madonna...she does what she wants, takes pictures of it and sells it in a book, lol. who even knows about MJ anymore? i mean, really? lol

to me, all this speculation is moot when you have people like wanda sykes coming out and saying common sense things and being proud of who she is. it's simple and honest and admirable. who cares about all the gossip?

that's my point- why be labeled "straight" gay or gay "straight"- if it's so acceptable why not have the variety

I understand you saying that it's not accepted- but you can't tell me that when i'm inundated with homosexual media

You backwards too! Rarely is anyone close to being full fledges gay. People are more inclined to say they are "bi" or "curious" or (insert other new age sexuality here) before they say they are full blown gay.

you need to work on your ebonics-it's not funny-

you are a prime example of someone who is condescending to others because they are different from you- perhaps you like it like that- to each his own

-no I don't agree with that- considering the true definition of homosexuality.

pipe down both of you, you're both 50% right. lol

there IS a spectrum that goes from queer as a catfart to straight as an arrow, with a whole lot of varieties in between, but one extreme is not exclusive. some people really ARE happy considering themselves to be 100% gay or straight and there are a lot of people happy thinking of themselves as different shades in between. it's a big world with lots of people and everyone's brain works differently.
