People that don't like to be deleted from Facebook should steer clear of twitter because the following/unfollowing there is outraging. You 'follow' people who you know or whose comments you deem interesting. People are free to follow you. If somebody is not interesting anymore, you can unfollow him. You can block the annoying people (or your boss). I'm on twitter since about 2 months and I love it.

I really don't get the point. Doesn't the Myspace/Facebook status already do this, with a lot more features added on?

yes and no. Twitter doesn't require you to maintain a huge profile with loads of pics and applications (you know ... pillow fights and such). It's just ad hoc blogging, you follow people, people follow you. Usually friends or people with similar interests. Less static than Myspace and facebook. It's just that messages of max. 140 characters, no Bullshit.

I personally use it to keep in touch with people who share my professional interests. It works for me, it might not work for you.

Also, more and more big coorporations use it to know how their 'brand' is doing. Most of the times when a big name (Target, K-Mart, you name it) is mentioned, people representing those companies will get in touch pretty quick to resolve the issue at hand or steer you in the right direction.

I'm loving it ... try it and see for yourself.

I love twitter cuz it allows me to keep in touch with people in my line of work around the globe.

Yesterday it scared me. I tweeted about the constipation of my son and within minutes some guy who was expert in natural medicine or something tweeted me back with some info. It was very kind, but people searching up tweets about constipation (he was not in my network) ...

Yeah, I tried to get into it. I don't really get it. Maybe it'll click one day.
