RECORDING SOFTWARE?????? I am looking for advice on what to get that is cheapest...but also good quality....this free software shit has pissed meoff for the last f'in time.....pls tell me what cheap software should I get???? ~Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money~

Cubase will answer most of the home studio needs. They have several versions to fit different budgets. | |

Recording what? Just audio? Or are you a songwriter, arranger, DJ...? What features matter most to you? In most cases you're looking at around $300-400 for something halfway decent and at least a gig of ram to keep your computer from hanging up. If you just want to mess with audio and effects, there are even more options at less than half the price. btw, get your ram at newegg -- it's cheap!
