Pampered pooches

What a gargantuan waste of money, nevermind the identity crisis and years of therapy these dogs will need: I suspect they are completely baffled, ( the dogs) just look at their faces.

http://www.dailymail.co.u...-food.html

A woman has forked out a staggering £40,000 on tiaras and tutus for her pampered dogs.

Louise Harris, 29, was a self-confessed dog hater until four years ago when her sister took her to look at some Yorkshire Terrier puppies called Lulu and Lola.
She fell in love with the pair and has not looked back since.
However, unlike your average canine companion, Louise has treated the pair to such luxuries as pink dresses, Italian leather collars and a custom-made £2,000 iron four-poster bed because she hated the idea of a plastic one.

She could have donated £40,000 to a children or animal charity, instead of dressing her traumatised dogs (yes dogs, not children) in ridiculous flouncy pink dresses. I would feel tremendous guilt wasting money like that. Yes, I am being judgemental smile

She's not you. How do you know she doesn't already donate money to good causes and has the disposable income to indulge her dogs like this?

Regardless of whether she donates, she has still spent 40 grand on this stuff. Indulge her dogs? Shes not indulging them, this crap is tantamount to abuse!

rolleyes I work with rescued dogs and I KNOW what real animal abuse is and this ain't it. These dogs are lucky to have someone that's going to love and take care of them even if it's silly. I'd take a silly, over the top owner anyday over one that beats, neglects and starves their animals. That's real abuse.

So you either beat your dogs or dress them like Miss Universe entrants, how about treating them how dogs should be treated? like Normal. She is NOT respecting her animals, because if she was she wouldnt force them into pink dresses and tiaras, goign against their very nature. Its twisted.

I can only hope the dogs kill her in her sleep.

I would prefer a waking death for her, but I think she could take them in a fair fight.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Dogs are pack animals, regardless of what WE want them to be they are pack animals who need a hierarchy and clear pack leader/guidelines. That is what makes a happy and balanced dog.
Treating them like people or in this case surrogate children may seem like fun or nice but it is not good for the dog long term for their balance and happiness.

I spend good money on my dog, and I don't see what's so wrong about it.
He has three cashmere coats, a Chanel leash, a Burberry water bowl and a Gucci raincoat and baseball cap.

I totally pamper my pets too. I don't dress them up but I've been told by some people that I treat them like spoiled children. They get to sleep on the couch, my bed, where ever they want. They have special toys, etc. and they never, ever are just left outside alone - unless they are running out to go pee or to enjoy the fresh air for a short time.

Actually, my dogs have always had coats for the winter because their fur is so short. We put them on when we go for long walks in the winter.

Dressing them up is really silly to me, but I don't believe that she's doing any real harm to those dogs.

I think she should put her money to better use, but it's her money and she can throw it all away if she wants to.

C'mon, SCNDLS: we all judge; it's human nature (after all, you just said it's dumb razz). And who hasn't heard about some crazy purchase and thought, "How ridiculous!".

I think someone's just havin' a rough day. We've all been there. Talk to Uncle Ace, baby. comfort

Not sure yet. It is going to take a while for Immigration to get the paperwork sorted. We are going to Delaware Sunday for Thanksgiving with my mom.

Every dog I've ever known hates being made to wear shit. This is all about the woman and her twisted mindset. Surely you're not saying it's being good to the dogs? confused

SCNDLS, I'm involved in rescue, too. I feel you. I see things all the time that I think are silly, but if putting silly clothes on dogs makes someone happy and the dog isn't distressed (and IMO they usually don't care one way or the other as long as someone is paying attention to them), it's all good to me. As pointed out, they're dogs. They don't generally care if they're wearing tiaras and dresses (or a collegiate t-shirt which generally seems a lot less "silly" to folks than frilly dresses), styled in some frou frou trim or just snuggled on the couch as long as someone's paying attention to them.

I dont know if I would go that far.
I love my dog just as much as my kids.
He is very, very well taken care of.
He is loved by all memebers of the household. Sometimes I think a little too much. He is very expensive to keep. But I love him.

food: 120.00 mo
grooming 65.00 mo
pet insurance 39.95 mo
car cleaning to get the hair out of my car 40.00 a mo
lets see, approx 265.00 a mo
Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here
