It just cost me $1,600 to have my car fixed. That was for 2 new tires, front and rear brakes, exhaust system and an oil change.

I had my exhaust 'fixed' by Midas because it was ready to fall off. When my regular mechanic saw it he was horrified...they put all the wrong parts on my car and I wasn't getting enough power. I fought midas over it and they only reimbursed me for the parts and not the $100 labor...mind you it took them not even 15 minutes to put the piece of crap on!

Don't ever go there!

I HATE car repairs.

I don't know any mechanics and always feel like I'm getting completely ripped off.

It sucks.

Sucks doesn't it? I mean I guess I can't really complain, I haven't had to put a lot of money into my car and she's turning 10 very soon! I will run that honda to the ground...I hate car payments!

I hate surprises like that!
I know how you feel.

So now when I go in to do my car,
before they do anything,
I'm like, tell me only what absolutely needs to be done,
and how much it will cost,
because I am paying cash and want to make sure I have enough to pay you guys.
Then after they tell me a total,
I'm like... "what? how much?"
Can you only do this, and that then?
I'll wait a little more until I have more cash.
lol
My Honda service manager that I always go to knows me by now,
he once slashed my bill from $700 something
to $200 something.
But since then, I try to be more aware of what they are doing to that car.

lol.....right. It's all "normal" routine stuff. Nothing major was done, which is a scary thought.
