Don't buy a Mac. rolleyes

where's the right click button?
why is it so slow?
the keyboard sucks. No, you won't get used to it...it sucks.
the hard drives crash frequently
speakers are LOW
all Mac shit is OVERPRICED
no compatiblility issues at all rolleyes rolleyes rolleyes

I won't even mention the useless Mac store.....

Just saying, don't blindly listen to all the mac users about how great their hardware and software is....if it was SO great, EVERYONE would have switched by now. It's an alternative to PC's, nothing more IMO.

Here's where the Mac faithful run to defend their crap hard/software, no worries, they're used to it because it happens so often....

I still like you Horatio. hug

Not sure. I like HP though. They generally made good products, and their laptops were about as good as compaq and sony.

But, if you're in the market for a general consumer laptop, get a mac. lol I've loaded and downloaded all sorts of shit on my macbook and after two years, no problems, no glitches, no crashes--nothing.

I'm not saying PCs suck. I'm just saying I prefer macs.

let it cool off, pop the battery out, then pop it back in and fire it up.

where's the right click button? holding down the click will give you right-click options. Or holding down app key will do it (although I would prefer the right-click button, it hasn't been terribly irratating
why is it so slow? no slower than comparably equiped PCs. And much more responsive when those PCs have Vista. lol
the keyboard sucks. No, you won't get used to it...it sucks. Having been a lifelong PC user (and technician in that world), it took me 1 hour to fully get used to it.
the hard drives crash frequently Though I've only owned my mac for 2 years, it hasn't crashed. In the last 3 years, I've had 3 hard drive crashes...on PCs. I don't blame the PCs though--this is strictly due to the shitty hard drives and the face that HDD just isn't uber reliable. That being said, Apple offers high end HDD drives. They dont' just slap any old thing in their computers.
speakers are LOW Nobody uses stock speakers though lol
all Mac shit is OVERPRICED I've heard the same said about Sony. Would you agree with that criticism? lol Value is determined by the components in the systems (macs don't throw crap in their computers), and what the market will pay. I payed around $1000 for my macbook and could have found multiple PC laptops cheaper than that. But you can't put a price on how nicely it compliments my hairdos in Starbucks.
no compatiblility issues at all I've had none. Everything just works. rolleyes rolleyes rolleyes

I won't even mention the useless Mac store..... It's quick and convenient. I've bought all my iPods and accessories there.

OMG lol

I'm not saying Apple is perfect. They certainly haven't been too keen on entering the lower end PC market, and I'm convinced they could certainly offer a sub-$1000 laptop that still has reliability and quality. But they don't.

And none of the afore mentioned things have ever happenned to me. I've owned PCs most of my life, and I've enjoyed the mac I own the most out of all of them. I can literally record, edit, and post video to youtube in a fraction of the time it does on a PC--the first time I tried, it took me 15 minutes ... on software I wasn't the least bit familiar with.

I understand they're not perfect. I get that. But compared to a PC with Windows on it? lol No contest. Mac users defend macs not because we love to defend bad hardware/software. We defend macs because they're great.

Depends on what you're using it for. I'm a gamer. Most of my games don't run on a Mac, and even if they did, trying to upgrade one (i.e processor, motherboard) sounds like a painful process unless they've changed that in the past few years.

I don't think it can be argued that gamers should stick to PCs lol

The general focus of this was on general purpose use, and disqualifying macs for that is inaccurate to say the least. Macs are excellent machines, and there's a reason mac users prefer them to PCs.

That is a good possibility, While it's on, you really can't just lay it anywhere, You should never leave it laying on a carpet or on a blanket or pillow because that blocks airflow.

I've never had smoke come out of any Mac I've ever owned!

Macs rule! Hey, you want to right-click? No problem - any USB mouse with right-click capability will work. Just use the old one from your HP.

Keyboard problems? Yeah, I can see youse guys wit your hunt-and-peck one finger typing having a problem, LOL.

Well, you CAN buy your PCs at Circuit City....oooops, no you can't. How about Best Buy? Ummmm, maybe you'd better hurry. Apple stores? Going strong, baby!

Once you go Mac, you'll never go back!

HP and a few other manufacturers just recalled a ton of batteries. Check their battery replacement site to see if your laptop is one of the ones affected. If so they'll send you a new battery, no charge. Regardless of if it's in warranty or not, it'll still be replaced since exploding/smoking batteries is a HUGE liability issue.

Battery Replacement Site:

Kinda strange, kinda awesome.
