Sapp hammers Keyshawn for interior design TV show

Warren Sapp is not welcoming fellow NFL TV analyst Keyshawn Johnson to the world of reality TV with open arms.

Sapp, currently a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, was critical of Johnson, who is starting his own interior design show on the A&E network.

Asked on Showtime's Inside the NFL if he'll watch, Sapp said, frankly, no.

"Me, watch Keyshawn on an interior decorating show?" Sapp said. "Keyshawn, I knew you were a bitch. And thanks for making it all clear."

Sapp and Johnson were teammates on the Buccaneers from 2000-2003, and there was bad blood between the two even then.

Sapp acknowledged rumors of him being a diva on the Dancing set might have merit. But he said that's only true in the standards of Los Angeles that don't accommodate the husky gentleman.

"I have to be honest about the diva thing. I am a little eccentric at times," Sapp said. "I like cold water and in California they like it room temperature. And as a 300-pound man I needed a little cold water. So they gave me a big cooler and they put “Warren’s Water,” so I guess that’s where they get that from. If a big fella needing cold water is being a diva, then diva I am."

Come on, now. Say what you want about him, but Keyshawn could block more than a little.

That's why I was asking. Key was one of the best run blocking wideouts, not only in the game when he played, but probably ever. And he never shied away from going over the middle. He was a prima-donna to be certain, but he was as tough as they come on the field.

I'm not sure I disagree with the punk part. But if punk meant not blocking and shying away from contact, I'd encourage you to watch some film (if you're inclined). Towards the end of his career, it was one of his few virtues.

nod Most definitely. I've always thought Parcells put up with his whining for so long because he was such a good blocker. If there's one thing the guy could do, it was block. I sincerely doubt I can come up with 5 WRs who were better at blocking than Keyshawn... certainly not in the last 20 years.
