Is it me or are the refs really making terrible calls this season.I mean more so than in previous years. Like the Rivers "non fumble", etc. I didn't get to see last night's game, but it just seems more prevalent this season.

They're either making terrible calls, or some glaringly obvious non-calls (like Reggie Bush's fumble against the Vikes AFTER he'd nearly gotten his head twisted around on an obvious facemask a heartbeat before he coughed it up)...

....just seems shady to me....

Pats have only themselves to blame. WTF were they doing on the 3rd & 15 to Keller? IMO, that was the play of the game.

If you noticed, the LB who got the sack on first down started to celebrate like he's just made the game saving/winning play...which, at that moment was a serious affront to the football gods (which, in this case was to mock brettfavrebrettfavrebrettfavre)...so on 3rd and 15, the football gods exacted their revenge upon the Patriots....nod

...now, back up to you, uPtoWnNY.... lol

The funny thing is, Favre didn't play like Favre. He was cool and under control like Montana. We didn't see the high-risk gunslinger last night.

I can't really complain about a tie when the Eagles turned the ball over 4 times -- including 3 interceptions in scoring position by the least-frequently intercepted QB in NFL history.

A fuckin' tie? How fuckin' dumb is there to have ANY sport end in a tie. I've ALWAYS thought that was the dumbest shit ever. Either you WIN or you LOSE. No damn ties. I wish sports would fix that shit. That's one of the reasons I used to hate soccer.

I don't know whats worse...a tie...or that such a suck-ass matchup (on paper, the Eagles shoulda killed the Bungles) ended in a tie....

A tie is ALWAYS worse. Makes no sense. You practice, study the plays, workout...ALL to end in a dumb-ass tie.

QUESTION!!

So I turned on the Steelers game and the score was 7-2 or some shit....how do you score just 2 points???? I understand you can go for two after a TD but I don't think I've ever seen (or paid attention) to a game where you can get just 2 points.

confused

2 points are awarded for a safety. It's a defensive score that happens when you tackle the opponent in their own endzone.

You can also score a safety if the offense commits a penalty in the endzone or fumbles the ball out of it.

Something's wrong with your scoring. The tie shouldn't count at all; of course, it doesn't matter as long as the effect is the same for everyone.
