i think too much, not always a good thing but not always bad
lately i have come to the realization that im many regards
i have grown up here on the org.
i started coming here around sometime in '98
it was different but still a great community of folks many of whom are still around to this day. when i first came here i was way more flagrent with my (or funny only to myself in many regard) sense of humor.
i had no previous interacion on any web site nor frankly interacted with this many individuals in my normal life, and i never at first at least made the connecion that behind a screen name was an actual person.
this is the learning process of web interacion.
i said some stupid shit but as i began to know and appreciate the complexity of many here, i slowly became a real person less one liners and more serious and real interaction (unlike 2the9s )
on 9/11 i came here seeking the comfort of a comunity that could never be taken for granted.
i am grateful for this joint and the scalps the preside undernieth it

i know that fan sites are a dime a dozen in this vertual village but i cant help but feel like there is "only one org"


this is such a great week for my country and it has aided me in the counting of my blessings

I need a new song too. I am a premed student who is dissecting cats and memorizing muscles and bones and the like. My old songs don't fit this life change. Just saying.

( The song that was delivered to me at the invasion on my 40th takes the cake though. ) I cried. It was the first time I heard you sing one.

i think to a lot of us, the org is like something between a secret treehouse and the local neighborhood dive bar.

Very cool sentiment. And don't be lost on the fact that for many of us, YOU have enriched our experiences here as much as vice versa!

I've gotten to the point where I'll mention the Org casually in conversation to my real world friends. They're learned to take it in stride that I mention a group of friends that, for all intents and purposes, is imaginary. They smile and nod when I talk, and when they think I'm not looking they throw out one of these puppies:
