I mean, Mon's parents sleep downstairs on the floor in the front room (well, the only room downstairs really, besides kitchen and bathroom), and they have Mon's brother's baby boy sleeping there with them (cause Mon's brother and his wife work late), so it'd be tricky. They wake enough as it is with the baby. I can't see them keeping the dog inside.

We board up the gap under the front gate with stuff that's lying around, but Mee always seems to find a way out. I'm thinking we'll need something more permanent.

Hey, a rope would work. Like I said, we're all clueless. None of us ever thought we'd keep him. Mon's father spends more on the dog than he does on himself or anyone else, for a start. He simply can't afford it.

okay this morning a striped cat in the parking lot flirted with me so i spent a fair amount of time just cuddling that hairy little sucker. now obviously, my birds would never forgive me if i introduced a predator to their world, so that's right out. but this cat had no collar or tags. i think it might belong to the somali people a couple of houses down the street? it could be homeless too though.

i maybe better keep an eye on it for now, put some food out. winter is coming on though... hopefully it has a home.
