They widened the gap. OMG, what happened to her? He ate her. No, he really tore her up badly, but general concensus was that she had it coming for taunting the animal. What I am sad about is that there are ALWAYS people with camera's except that day.

Me too.... On one hand I loved the opportunities to see animals I would otherwise never see up close and was humbled by the experience, at the same time I get sad when I go to cramped zoo's and see the neurotic behaviour of the animals.  |

I know. It is a bittersweet feeling. When they are in zoo's because they are injured and would not survive in the wild, it feels a bit better. we were blessed to see 9 elephants when we were at a National Park in Sri Lanka. These men were looking after them to make sure they were safe:
