That was cold how they did Terrance. I wonder how Don feels knowing what they did to another black actor in hollywood trying to make it.
Don don't care because he is a another black actor in hollywood trying to make it. lol

terrence served ZERO purpose in Iron Man. he was boring and underused.

terrence was being set up for the second movie...his character is kind of a big deal in the comic books, and i've heard that jim rhodes is going to have a much more instrumental part in the sequel. don cheadle actually got a pretty sweet deal, though on the other hand there's the risk that he could be thought of as "the iron man dude" forever, while terrence howard won't have that typecasting to worry about. shrug

Are you kidding? I think Terrence has BEEN typecast for years as the perpetual pimp. He's the same dude in EVERY movie and he gets on my damn nerves, non-acktin' ass. hammer

is that the kind of typecasting he's looking for? because that certainly wasn't his character in iron man.

Maybe not in Iron Man, but if you look at his body of work he is consistently cast as the player, womanizer, living off of women.

Cheadle is definitely a character actor with great range and he shoulda been nominated for Talk to Me. But Terrence has always struck me as woefully one-dimensional and got as far as he did cuz SOME people think his ass is attractive. disbelief Maybe the producers of Iron Man figured out he was incapable of shouldering more of the focus in the sequel and used the money angle as an excuse to dump his nutty ass. shrug

I just heard about this today. Don Cheadle is a great actor, but what was so wrong with Terence in the first Iron Man movie? Was he asking for some insane amount of money for the sequel knowing he had a bigger part or did Marvel lowball him? And if it's the latter, why would Don agree to work so cheap?

You know I really thought he played his part well in IRONMAN. now that you mention this though he may have pulled a chris tucker manuver with the second friday movie.

that mess is WRONG! I hate when men have a long ass pinky nail disbelief
He just lost 10 points!!

Actually, he does that because he plays classical guitar. A lot of session and concert musician friends of mine have this as well. Its used to change the tone of your playing as well as increase its volume and speed.

Dude has always played, though. I dont know about his singing skills, but he has always had a reputation as a decent player. That reminds me of when the movie The Best Man came out. People were unaware that he had worked as a musician before, and I remember a horribly condescending review in the Miami Herald that said it was a far stretch of the imagination to expect the audience to actually BELIEVE a black man would could be virtuoso playing Spanish guitar. The dumbass reviewer didnt know that Howard was actually a musician and the scene was filmed of his own playing by his own hand.

Anyhoo, long nails are for the plucking hand. You can play with short nails as well, it gives greater sensitivity to your playing, and puts you in direct contact with the strings, but again it can sacrifice your speed. butterfly

Yep. All of my classic guitar teachers had long finger nails.
