Why is it that we teach women from the time they are born to get what they want through manipulation by using their looks, but when they do we chastise them.

Little girls learn very young that the sweeter they can appear and the more docile they seem, the more they will be able to manipulate people. There is many a Daddy that is twisted around his little girls finger…and this he sees fit to brag about. While little boys are taught to use their intelligence to accomplish something. But yet, when these little girls become women and use their looks or their sweet personalities to manipulate a situation, they are called bitch, ho, gold digger, skeezer, etc. If we teach to young girls that manipulation with a sweet personality or a beautiful face works, then shouldn’t we expect it when they are older?

Why do people constantly tell each other that looks do not matter? It is out of embarrassment because we have placed so much importance on something superficial? This is no Utopia we are living in. But for some reason people seem to think that the beauty standard doesn’t exist. While all the while it was them who imposed it to begin with. Yes everyone can say that is what is in someone’s heart that counts and personality and intelligence are the most important (all of these come before looks to me, give me a intelligent man any day, because all I want to tell a gorgeous stupid one to do is “shut the hell up”), but in reality, women who use their looks to manipulate a situation are only living a taught lesson for an easy life.

It’s not like this is some new concept…just ask Eve.

Guess it's really difficult for most here to understand that all drika was saying is that females should be encouraged to use their brains more than relying on how they look.

And that the reason they usually don't, is because society values female beauty over all else.
