I was 8

Santa wore my dad's red pyjamas and all he brought for my dad was a packet of smokes, while my dad took an incredibly long shower

I figured it out when I realized we didn't have a fireplace. I was like, "How the hell does he get down the chimney into our house?!"


My sister said she got up to use the bathroom and she heard our Dad cursing, so she peeked downstairs and he was trying to put a new bike together. It kinda killed it for her.

bummer...my son was over it last year and I can't believe how it made me sad...

That's sad...all my kids no longer believe in Santa.

I never believed in Santa...all these kids would talk about him in school and I was like...you people are dumb...it's just your parents.

It will teach them to be greedy in different ways, now they know where the goodz come from...

Awwww. I figured out when I was 3. After that, I just faked believing because people thought it was sooooo cute. That, and I got an extra candy cane for being a spirited little girl. That was the big thing for me back in the day. I'd try to collect at least 100 before the end of the year.

Of course afterwards, I'd be laid out on the floor barfing minty Christmas cheer.

I was pissed when I found out there was no Santa! My dad told me he mailed off my list. After Christms I found my list in his leather jacket.

i am glad i still have 1 daughter left that still believes... i still enjoy using the "put it on ur list" answer for everything that she wants ...

its sad cause her b-day is the 19th as well so she gets it all in 1 shot.. the older girls have not spoiled it for her so that's nice..

I found out when my parents accidentally left part of the price tag on one of my brother's gifts. I emphatically presented the evidence to all the older relatives in the house that day. I was so proud of myself.

When I was like 8 or 9 I told my dad that I didn't believe in Santa. He said "Well I guess that t.v. you asked Santa for wont be here then." I said, "Oh yeah, I believe in Santa."

My grandma told me when I was about 6 or 7.
I remember going to the mall with her and santa was there. I said that I thought Santa doesnt leave the North Pole until the night before christmas. She said "Santa is not real. That man u see there is working for the mall. Im Santa. Ur mama is Santa. Watch". Then she took me to a toy store, told me to pick something and then bought it. She said "here, merry christmas"

My sister told them two years ago (they were 6 and 7 I believe)



It started with a simple incident.

The 6 year old, Harrison, was getting his bike ready to go out.
He called my sister (his mother) into the garage.

"Mommy, this bike says 'made in china'"
"Yes, sweetie, everything is made in china now." she said.
"But, didn't Santa Clause give me this? Why would it be made in China if he has all of those elves working in the North Poll? That makes no sense!"

Well, I forget how she managed to wiggle out of that, but a few weeks later.....

Mitchell (the 7 year old), and Harrison cornered her in the Bedroom.

"Mommy..." the Mitchell said somberly, "Harrison and me were thinkin'"
"Yes, dear?" Jane said
"Well, you know how you tell us not to lie?" Harrison said.
"Yes?"
"Well, " Mitchell continued, "that means you have to tell us the truth to this question."
"OK?"
"Well,... Are you Santa Clause?" both the kids demanded.



She told them them that she and Trent (my brother in law) were indeed Santa Clause, and that it was just one of the fairy tales you tell children.


Mitchell took it a little harsh cause he brought it up a year later and asked her that half of the time when adults talk to children, he thinks they're either lying or pretending to be interested in children stuff. He thinks that it's some sort of game grownups play while they wait for children to finally think like grownups. In essence he thinks that grownups lie all the time and pretend to be interested in 'children' things so they can go on with their 'grown up' days. He was only 8 when he thought of this
