What's wrong with the thread? It isn't as bad as some of the other threads up here...
Or do u feel the comparison between Bible and LoTR isn't right?

I don't think a comparsion should be made but it's my opinion so I'm responding your thread. sigh

To some, the bible isn't a fairy tale and the lack of respect for others spiritual beliefs is really old and played out on this site.

U shouldn't c this as a lack of respect, but more as a comparison between 2 story books...

The Bible tells several stories

and LoTR does 2...

So no religious beef just the storytelling,

From my side too. Even as an atheist I fully respect your decision and faith in God.

However the bible is a book like any other for me. Id even call it one of the better ones.

We all need a little space in here pray and we all get our share of flaming and disrespect.

As far as fictional stories go, "The Lord of the Rings" is more believable, more enjoyable, more historically accurate and more useful in daily life.

Well, though I am indeed an atheist, I pick the Bible. It's quite entertaining, in that story-book sort of way. That, and I couldn't fuggin' stand LOTR.

The movie was good though, and there was a hot man-elf!
