Spiderman.
Superman is my Vice. I hate the invincible bastard, but I think I've got a crush on the dude. God, I can imagine being swept of my feet by Superman. How I hate him. [Edited 10/5/08 17:54pm]

[Edited 10/5/08 17:54pm] I always thought Superman was kind of stupid as a superhero. Sure, you can root for the invincible guy, but where's the conflict? Where's the danger? As a superhero he's flawed IMO because he's not flawed. As a literary archetype (the Christ figure) he's interesting as all hell though, but DC doesn't tend to delve into that in any examinable way. But to meet a guy like Soops in real life? I'd be so charmed I don't think I could remember my own name. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Ya know, Linda Carter always claimed that her Wonder Woman look is her body's natural shape. I find that hard to believe, considering underneath that gold belt her stomach bulges out exactly the way it would in an outfit cinhced too tight.
Just fess up, Linda. You couldn't breathe, could you? "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Captain Marvel is better. Superman's not invincible - he does have his weaknesses. Captain Marvel owns Supes - check out 'Kingdom Come'.

my two favorites are probably metamorpho and the mid-80s punk rock incarnation of storm from x-men. i like metamorpho because there's absolutely nothing realistic about him, but he's not played for jokes like plastic man or something. plus, i just like his color scheme. it's sexy. punk rock storm speaks for itself.

As disturbingly easy as that substance is to get ahold of ( do they sell it at the dollar store, or what? ) that's all there is. Superman can do anything. His powers are pretty much limitless. There's no danger or suspense in what he does because you know he's always going to somehow come out on top. Other, less-powerful superheros' stories are more suspenseful and interesting because even though you know that the writers will rig it somehow for them to win, they're flawed and have definite, exploitable weaknesses. It's a much realer possibility for Batman or Spiderman to one day lose the fight and be killed than it ever will be for Superman. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I think there's some awesome potential in Marvel's Cloak. It'd be really interesting (or horribly disappointing) to see him on the big screen.
