Are we talking actual temperature or is this including wind chill? I'd say -15 degrees Fahrenheit and maybe around -35 with the wind chill.

I occasionally go up north beyond Moosenee Ontario. It gets friggin cold up there. I think the coldest was about -50 F, Lord only knows what the windchill was.
Thing is, once it's colder than -20F , it's just COLD, you really don't feel a big difference. Well, maybe you would if you weren't dressed for it. I love winter!! "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

Ex-Moderator | Our average high in Minneapolis in January is 22 F (-6 C) and our average overnight low is 4 F (-16 C). And that's just the average.
The coldest I can remember is probably -30 F (-34 C). And when you factor in windchill, forget it. |

Around -30. I was stationed in Adak Alaska in the early 90's. I was a meteorologist in the Navy and had to be outside in the elements every 15 minutes to the hour to do what is called a weather observation. Although I was well padded, it was one of the worst 15 minutes of my life.

Ever have the tears in your eyes freeze instantly? Your skin start to burn with pain within a second or two? Sure but it's like that for me at warmer temps because I have Raynaud's disease. My hands turn white and painful in the freezer section of the grocery store. That's why I said you'd feel it more if you weren't dressed for it. I'm serious about my winter clothes. Still love winter though. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

I'd take winter over the 115/117 flames of hell any day. Sadly, it doesn't get very cold here in H-town.

All I know is that there were times when I was fully dressed for the weather and the tiny bits of skin burned within seconds and my eyes started to freeze almost instantly. I've only ever had that happen to me when we had that insane cold snap in Winnipeg. Here it only gets to about 40°F with a wind chill factor. I find there is a huge difference. But there is also a difference between dry cold and damp cold. Dry stings like a mofo and damp chills you where it takes forever to warm up. The Peg was dry and bitter, Ottawa is damp and cold to the bone. Both suck.
