My pronunciations are in a state of flux since I've moved.

* "God," now vacillates between rhyming with Maude and nod.
* "Sorry" comes out sounding like SORE + ry. (Which is cool in Canada, but folk look at me like I'm crazy in the States.
* "Process" was formerly PRAH (as in Prada) + cess, but it is now occasionally PRO + cess.

I don't want to end up sounding like Madonna or Tina Turner. When/if I move back south, I'll need exit counseling.

You mean like "SORE-rye"? confused I say "SOAR-ee".

I didn't know any anybody said it any other way but 'coo-pon'. smile

My wife says 'coo-pong'. But then she also says 'hippocrip' and 'cocky accent' (when she means cockney), 'unbelievedable' and all manner of other stuff, but I can let her off and cut her some slack because she's stupid. smile

Well, I pronounce things correctly, but a certain orger doesn't...

For example, I say dinner he says deener.

I say bidders, he says beeders.

No, I do say "SOAR-ee" now, but I used to say it as it would rhyme with "starry."
