I was until he moved to Sirius radio. I'm not trying to pay for satellite radio but if he by some very odd chance came back to terrestrial radio, I'd go right back to listening again.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

i am a howard stern fan - but i will say --- i just got sirius this yr (christmas gift last yr ) and i dont know if i see the value ...

i get laughter .... from Howards rants and interviews

but i am alil put off the by commercials which seem longer than ever ... the same ole songs ... all the time ... and the artie heroin support (which i feel i am supporting in a roundabout way ) confused
Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

Ottensen

I'm pretty indifferent about him. I find him more interesting when people are interviewing him for their shows.

I heard a tape of his most recent interview with Rosie O'Donnell, though, and that wasn't too bad. Other than that, can't say I really get anything from him.

omg really? no way, I think the commercials on howard are WAY less than b4....sometimes I used to listen to nothing but commercials all the way to work and now that never happens. The same old songs? confuse I don't even know how that's possible with all the different channels....and NO commercials at all on the music channels.
lol yeah....I see what ya mean about the artie thing but...they just love him. I don't think they are like "do more heroin" they just don't get rid of him over it. I'm more concerned with his damn weight at this point. They need to make him go on the biggest loser!.
you know....I think I know who you are....and if you are who I think you are...
flipped off wink if not...disregard that last bit lol

The commercial breaks are half as long as they were on terrestrial. As for Artie, you not subscribing will have 0.0 effect on his problems; he has to decide that enough is enough.

WillyWonka

Used to listen to Stern all the time back in the mid-90s on my subway ride to work, then practically everybody on my floor had his show on their office radios.

I was fortunate to have once been at the same gathering as Gary Dell'Abate, Stuttering John, Fred the Elephant Boy and 'Melrose' Larry Green and was able to briefly speak with each of them.

Larry and I got along quite well, actually. lol

I listened for years until he went to sirius. I didn't like him initially but spent a lot of time in the car for a job, and eventually became a fan of the show.

I think he's less of a performer and more like a friend who constantly crosses the line. You get used to his company, and the shock wears off. ONce you get over some of his behavior, you can see he's actually very thoughtful & intelligent. Kinda like our guy Prince.

I think he raises & lowers himself to the level of his guest. If his guest has no self respect, he show them no respect. But if his guest is interesting & worthwhile, he shows them respect.

That's not to say that some of his bits are not disgusting & near unlistenable, because they definitely are!
