Different diets work better according to blood type.
I've seen the Atkins diet work for someone else.

For example, according to the diet, people with type A are naturally vegetarians. They should eat lots of fruits and vegetables as they are high in carbs and low in fat. This is based on the idea that their blood is thicker than that of other blood types. They should refrain from consuming dairy products, animal fats, and meats.
Type B people should have a diet that is balanced between plant and animal proteins. Type O people are carnivores. High protein foods such as red meats, fruits, and vegetables should make up the bulk of their diet.

I don't know what my blood type is though.
That should be your next thread, rolling. "What is your blood type?" then when you click the topic, your comment is "What is your blood type? "

None. Diets aren't a healthy or sane way to lose weight. Just eat a healthy and balance diet. That's all anyone needs. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I have never been on 'a diet' but I do believe you should just have 'a healthy diet' if that makes sense. Everything in moderation, eat well, exercise and just generally try and be healthy. Sometimes Life is like the post...You just don't get it!

Ex-Moderator | The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to change your diet, not go "on a diet". |

Yeah, your diet should be a way of life not something you do for a few months to get into that bikini or whatever for a holiday! Sometimes Life is like the post...You just don't get it!

I've tried the Slim Fast tablets and Slim Fast mix... I didn't like either one
Atkins diet - I was fatigue all the time... I just made up my mind that balancing out my food and exercising is the best way .. I like it anyway that I can eat whatever I want

Did a diet via a clinique in the Netherlands - had to travel 2,5 hours by puplic transport and walk half an hour to and from the location each week. I used 5 shakes a day for 6 weeks with vegetables for lunch and dinner and got additional vitamines. Also I had skin massage to keep the skin tight. After those first 6 weeks I slowly got back to a 'normal' eating pattern, and after 6 months in total I lost 60 pounds. It's now 4 years since I ended the diet - and I'm still in great shape, hurray! I love Prince and chocolate - in that order

The thing is most people actually just stick on the induction faze as it seems to work so well and that is why they start getting ill on it. LET A WOMAN BE A WOMAN AND A MAN BE A MAN

the stress diet. it basically is when i'm so stressed out from school that I can barely eat anything anyway so i drop about 5 pounds.
i usually gain it back once the stress goes away.

Like others have stated, moderation and balance is the key. I don't like the word "diet" because "diets" seem to be short term. "I need to fit into a dress in one month so I need to go on a diet"--then after the diet you eat however you were eating before the diet. Low fat diets are bad too because all fats are not bad. Saturated fats are bad yes. However, monosaturated and polysaturated fats are very good for you. Omega-3 fatty acids are good for you as well. In fact, studies have shown that an increase in Omega-3 fatty acids helps to reduce body fat(along with lowering cholesterol and blood pressure).

I've been on Weight Watchers.
I've been on the "starve yourself" diet. I've been on the "take laxatives and shit yourself thin" diet only because I thought sticking my finger down my throat was too barbaric. Right now I'm on the "eat 5-6 small meals" a day diet. I'm hoping to make it a lifestyle. So far it's been working but it's only been a week. Shake it til ya make it

Oh yeah, and I've been on the "Dexatrim/Slim Fast/Laxative" diet as well. Results were disappointing. Shake it til ya make it

Slim Fast Shakes-worked for awhile, but I got tired of it,and the weight training lady at the gym said it was unhealthy.
For awhile I would eat nothing but salads. Healthy, but also got old. I am currently on Weight Watchers. I like it cause you can eat anything you want, but it teaches you to make portions smaller, and to make healthy choices. You don't have to give up treats, just not have them everyday. I have lost 35lbs so far so yeah it's going good. Oh I forgot I also tried that Richard Simmons Deal-A-Meal. It was supposed to be like a card game,so you were supposed to see it as fun!. That got boring. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

That got boring. No offense, but why do you need a program to teach you those things? It's not hard. Smaller portions should be easy enough. Instead of eating 8, you eat this 6. Healthy choices? Put down the bacon, pick up an apple. And go for a walk. There. I just gave you the Weightwatchers program. [Edited 9/28/08 0:30am] "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
