I wonder how many Americans could point out Finland on the map lol

Very few, I'd venture! Tell them that it looks like the testicles to the penis of Norway and Sweden, and they might have a better chance, though. confused

thumbs up!

lol
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I don't understand why it is so difficult for people to maneuver the four way stop when the traffic lights are out. I just don't get it. disbelief

I don't understand why Americans don't have a better appreciation for geography, as a whole. I've just read that nearly a third couldn't point out Louisiana on a map after Hurricane Katrina came through! Not to mention that a majority couldn't point out Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel or Saudi Arabia. sad

I wonder how many Americans could point out Finland on the map lol

I can! I remember "Finland is inland" (compared to Sweden and Norway). biggrin

I am obsessed with geography. Even though this National Geographic game is for kids, I play it all the time. I can usually get 48-50 out of 53 African countries, a decent number of Southeast Asia, and all 50 states and western Europe right. I need to practice eastern Europe, Central/South America and the Mexican states, though. geek

True story,

I worked with this girl that is in the US Air Force in military intelligence. I asked her what the capitol of Russia was...didn't know. I asked her what the capitol of Iraq was...didn't know. Then I asked her the name(s) of Britney Spears kid(s), without hesitation she got it. neutral

I don't understand minimalism.

Not here, though! I like a lot of minimalist music. The skeletal Seventeen Seconds by The Cure being one example where I think the economy of the notes and the sparse sound creates a fantastic feel.

I was thinking more in terms of interior design. Musical minimalism can be very interesting. An all-white decor freaks me out a little though. lol

Me neither, and I don't even drive! It's really not that hard.

Add roundabouts to that list. When Kelowna got some put in, the newspaper had to print out instructions. It's even on the driver's test, jeez...lol

Yeah, all-white decor freaks me out too- I feel like I'm in a laboratory or a museum in rooms like that!

And we're fine. nod

Oh good. smile

My neighbours across the street don't have curtains or shades, so I can see right into their apartment. Their place looks so cold and sterile -everything's white or grey, the furniture is all just the barest of lines with no excess of any kind, there's nothing on the walls, the dining room lamp is just a white cube. It's weird. lol

I know! I couldn't believe it.

I mean, I don't know how driver's tests work in the rest of Canada or in the states, but out here how to drive in a roundabout is included in the written part of the test. How hard can it be to remember to yield to traffic (duh) and signal right?
