Oh I'm sorry...that's 'cuz I didn't show you my wife's car; eh? The only reason that SHE drives it is because when I get behind the wheel of that baby...chicks throw themselves at me! By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! | |

Starting next week, a BMW 325. This is just a temporary car on loan -- I'm moving to a place where I can no longer rely on transit, taxis, etc. Borrowing the car will allow me to choose a new car without feeling pressured to buy something right away. For the move itself, I'll be driving 2,300 miles in a diesel truck with a 26-foot-long cargo area. This should be... interesting. But I'm planning to buy one of these: Certified, pre-owned of course. The MINI is a nice car. I've had a chance to drive several of them, both first and second generation, and I've always had fun. One Sunday morning I woke up around 4:30 AM and wound up driving for hours in a MINI with no particular destination. My only real complaints are: 1) some interior parts are a bit cheap-looking (especially considering that the car is made by BMW); 2) some of the controls aren't very intuitive; and 3) the convertible version has horrible blind spots. Still, I'll probably consider a MINI when I go car-shopping in the near future. It's tempting to buy another Miata, but it'd be nice to have room to carry stuff (and the occasional back-seat passenger). Also, the stock Miata tires are absolutely worthless if there's even a little snow or ice on the road.
