I like when athletes and other non-actors come on the show and pleasantly surprise me. Derek Jeter was surprisingly funny.

They gave him as few lines as they possibly could and he still couldn't say anything without looking over at the cue cards.

the "musical" performance by lil wayne on the other hand flat out disgusted me. What a fucking talentless HACK. Bigtime pitch correction on his voice. And his "guitar part" during the 2nd song made me laugh - it was like a 3rd grader was playing.

And yet people buy this shit. Amazing.

I didn't think he was any worse than any other guest that comes on that show. He's a likeable dude who carrries himself well and who has done something great in his field. I say more power to him. Hell, I didn't even watch it. When I don't much care about the guest host or the musical act I give SNL a pass. I haven't watched it in a long time.

I think the last time I really watched SNL was the Steve Martin/Prince show. LOVED it. Would have watched it for either one of them.
