Don't know. What I wonder is why someone would pay a half a million for a burnt guitar. nuts

I appreciate the rock n roll historical value, but that much money is ridiculous.

Hopefully, those with the kind of money to "invest" in these items are putting other stipends of their estate to more charitable uses.

Slam away....just MHO.

This guitar should have went to Janie and the Hendrix Estate. I personally think Janie would have appreciate the fact that it would be donated to "Experience Hendrix" instead of some rich yahoo wanting to restring it to play it himself. That destroys and perverts the legacy Jimi left behind.

How can you play a burnt guitar? Would'nt it be unusable?

rich yahoo's are the ones who preserve the most precious items from history, otherwise things like this would not survive.

Its good for people to preserve it so it'll be kept.
But I can't believe he's gonna restring it and play it. neutral

i doubt that will happen.
i wonder if it really authentic, just because i would think someone like the smithsonian would have bid to win it.
