Hurricane Gustav, LSU football, and yummy food venting thread

So I have the good fortune of living in Louisiana and this weekend two huge events are happening....it's LSU's first football game of the season today AND we're supposed to get hit with Hurricane Gustav's huge ass by Monday or Tuesday.

confused

I turned to the local news station for weather and possible evacuation notifications but they're just covering the game, which is scheduled to start right this very minute. I don't follow football so I don't really care.

I was watching the weather channel but they're just focusing on New Orleans and I'm in Baton Rouge.

In anycase, a hurricane means that more than likely the electricity will be out so I'm using up all of my perishables. That means I had yummy baked chicken last night, delicious baked french toast this morning, stewed chicken on Sunday and the list goes on... drool

I'm going to a birthday party later this afternoon and I'll be bringing two desserts so that I can use up my eggs and milk. drool

This storm is going to suck big time but at least I'll be well fed. biggrin

Okay, that is all. boxed

I was leaning towards something like that and some very rich and decadent brownies.

drool

I just finished stuffing my face with baked french toast and peaches. drool

By the time Gustav hits, I'll be so full that I'll probably sleep through the whole thing. lol
