I'm with those who don't understand what all the fuss is about regarding this thread.

I come here occassionally, less often than I used to because a lot of the threads on here just don't interest me. This one kinda did, so I clicked on it. As a woman, it's always interesting to see what other women consider the "norm" - we don't discuss these things often enough imo. I would give an example but it may be considered gross by some so I won't bother - but to give you an idea, if I'd talked about my periods a few years ago with some of my female friends it may have saved me a lot of pain and a possible hysterectomy.

Everything under the sun's been discussed here in GD - why would something as natural as women's periods be considered too gross to talk about? I don't get it

just for the record, I'm not on anyone's side here...just being observant. I only know psychodelicide very little and she seems like a nice lady and I really don't know G0d at all but seems OK by me. you might want to just ignore G0d, I think he/she seems to be amused at your annoyance so...don't give em the gratitude

I very much doubt that anyone would take issue with this thread if a woman had started it.

Personally I think it's lame that it's suddenly offensive because a man started it.
