Last night, Wednesday August 13, 2008, an attempt was made by and on behalf of my husband to first prevent my entry into our home and then, later, to make me leave our home by force.
It was necessary for me to receive medical treatment for injuries suffered and in relation to those injuries I shall continue to assist the police force with its enquiries.
Whilst it is my sincere wish to avoid unnecessary conflict, I shall not be intimidated, nor shall those individuals whose job it is to protect and represent me.
I ask that my privacy be respected in these difficult times and I believe that the people of the TCI will understand and support my wish to receive the necessary independent representation from the legal counsel of my choosing. I hope that, in time, the TCI government will come to share that view.
Although I have always been a supportive wife even in light of the very serious allegations currently pending against the Premier, there are limits even for me.
I continue to have the utmost respect for the people of the TCI who have always shown me kindness and support. I vow to continue my work amongst the people of Turks and Caicos Islands.

More details have emerged about the scuffle between actress LisaRaye and Michael Misick over in the Turks & Caicos islands that resulted in her arrest yesterday. According to V-103’s Ryan Cameron, LisaRaye, who was banned from the main house, drove her car through a barricade at the house, parked her car and barged into a closed door meeting between the Premiere and his cabinet ministers.



Word is LisaRaye said, “does LisaRaye have to bite a b*tch?,” before pouncing on Misick and commencing to sink her teeth into his flesh. Another man who attempted to separated the former lovers, was also bitten. Both Raye and Misick were treated for human bites at a local hospital and LisaRaye was placed under arrest. Lawd, lawd, when jumpoffs are scorned - look out!!

They're biting down in the Caribbean - and we don't mean the mosquitoes. The prime minister of Turks & Caicos, Michael Misick, and his actress wife, LisaRaye, were both treated for bite wounds at island hospitals Wednesday night.

The couple are still living together in the premier's mansion despite the marriage being over, and it's gotten to be like the movie "War of the Roses."

Misick's spokesman said, "LisaRaye, her cousin Phillip Travis, and her publicist, Lynn Jetter, assaulted the guard at the premier's home, proceeded to ransack the house, and then assaulted the premier and his sister. The premier at no time had any physical contact with LisaRaye."

LisaRaye countered, "An attempt was made by and on behalf of my husband to first prevent my entry into our home and then, later, to make me leave our home by force. I shall continue to assist the police force with its inquiries."

Jetter told us, "No, we didn't break in. She was at her home. Someone bit her. It might've been Michael or his sister, but there was shoving and someone bit her on the shoulder."

The romance had started beautifully. Three months after meeting LisaRaye, who appeared in the 2003 sitcom "All of Us," Misick popped the question with a 10-carat diamond ring. But the marriage deteriorated quickly amidst charges of infidelity. LisaRaye was accused of having an affair with former Miami Heat point guard Gary Payton, who separated from his wife this week. And Misick allowed BET veejay Rocsi to hold court in the mansion while LisaRaye was away, angering his wife.

Payton's spokesman denied it, and BET wouldn't comment on Rocsi.

A friend of the prime minister told us: "LisaRaye is nothing more than a gold digger. She wants a cash settlement upwards of several million dollars."

Jetter shot back: "That's what she should be doing. She deserves spousal support. She hasn't been going on auditions and things, so she devoted her time to him and hasn't been working as much. It's not like she's coming in like Rocsi, just being on BET."

Turks, Caicos premier accused of rape

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A Puerto Rican woman has accused the premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands of raping her, police in the British Caribbean territory said.
Local police and the FBI are investigating the woman's claim that Premier Michael Misick assaulted her on the night of March 27, deputy police commissioner Hubert Hughes said Tuesday.

Misick, who has held the top office since 2003, said in a televised address last week that a woman had filed a false complaint of sexual assault against him but he would be cleared of the "outrageous allegations."

The FBI field office in Miami referred questions to the U.S. Embassy in Barbados, where assistant legal attache Norman Scott said he could not confirm or deny any U.S. involvement in the investigation.
