Hey I live with roomates.

I live in a house and i am renting. Am i supposed to get a 'renters rebate' if i am just giving money to them? I pay almost $500 a month. If they are the homeowner and I am not on a lease or anything does this count?

People been telling me lately that I am getting jipped, but i dont know I never lived in my own apartment or anything.

There really NEEDS to be a contract that puts forth the terms of your rental.

No. You don't get anything from the landlord Depending on your state, you may get something called a property tax rent credit. But you have to file an income tax return to get it.

Your landlord owes you nothing.
