You can cut someone's head off with a normal knife? Like don't you need a machete??? Nobody notices this kid had a machete when he got on the bus??
confuse

Caton said he heard a "blood-curdling scream" and turned around to see the attacker holding a large "Rambo" hunting knife above the victim, "continually stabbing him in the chest area."

A Rambo knife would work. nod

I need one of those then.... for protection, yeah that's it.... stab

I think most people are conditioned by horror movies and such to instinctively run like hell away from the "unstoppable" maniac killer with a knife. Probably only someone trained to kill or experienced in combat would have the instinct to intervene against someone wildly swinging and sinking a "rambo" style hunting knife.

could there be a mod style beating with anything that can be converted into a weapon? I understand the rationale and I'm not saying I wouldn't do the same but if there are crowds of people I would hope that at least one person would try and rally the troops so to speak.

um.. i don't know...i'd have to be in that situation, but if it was apparent the guy he was butchering was already dead i'm gon' be arrow

i think a greyhound bus would be such close quarters there would be no room for more than one person to fight another person. meaning, not possible for a bunch of folks to join forces

I don't think you can stop a person that is THAT crazy and out of control. I don't blame them for running.

What utterly awful news. disbelief I think bus security should be bolstered. I suppose there's no practicality to establishing aiport-style security, but it makes sense some measures should be taken. Right now, Greyhound only checks your carry-ons when/if you cross an international border -- and they only do that randomly.

I feel like that 90% of the time, I understand. But I'm sick in the head and would like to see film footage of the crime,so I could yell at the screen like it's a sporting event.

Ok, the article stated that they got everyone off the bus as fast as they could and then 3 dudes went back in to try and stop the dude or do something and he went after them.

It sounds like people did the best they could considering the situation.

imo the really really sad thing (aside from the innocent, sleeping man who was slaughtered) is that, although this particular story has a certain shock value to the reading audience, what is happening daily in iraq via suicide bombers is just as grisly and random and yet.. hasn't the same shock value. we have tuned out to iraq

I never take greyhound or for that matter any public transport for that long a period. I always take the train. People are always cranky because the buses are so cramped.

That guy must be doing some heavy shit for drugs.

so terrifing i was just on the greyhound bus. ..... so glad God is and was watching over me. I truly pray for all thoses on that bus. And 6 year old i can't even begin to imagine the effect this could have on some1 so young. speacially the family of this young man, dove releasing a spiritual dove 4 this life, these is a type of story not 2 be played with or taken lightly. The vaule of life has gone down in this sociaity, I think because greyhound doesn't check thier passengers bags and carry ons ect.... they should have some chargers against them....

It's a really awful, I just pray all person envoled with this, is okay and makes it through~ God only can heal and bring order and peace back in2 a scene like that.

dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove dove

At first I thought the person was decapitated in an accident, but this is more disturbing.
Were it not for the 'brave behaviour' of the passengers and driver, I think this could have been much worse.
