ok, lets talk summer here... i wanna know how everyone's summer has been. i've been away and my summer has been CRAZY! i'll run a short list for ya...
1 1/2 weeks into summer - Bri feel through the fish tank - 30 stitches, huge ordeal, totally horrible 9 days later - Jake broke his thumb playing basketball. That sucked 5 days after that - i sprained my knee playing with him - hit a glass table top just the right way and damn, there it went! not really that big of a deal, more of an inconvience more than anything. hot, hot summer - its so damn hot outside, doing much of anything is impossible Buddy (the foster dog) is getting better - still dealing with tummy issues, but he has come a long way i have a few people really interested in taking him, but im not sure what im going to do yet. I rescued a baby standard poodle!!! - this one is DEFINATELY mommas baby, he is 10 weeks old and cute as a button, pictures will be comming soon! need to find a name for him though. 2 days ago - i went to the store, was about 10pm, walked RIGHT into a puddle of water (there was no sign there) and totally wiped out the store sent me to the hospital because they thought i broke my ankle, turns out its just a bad sprain - but the fucker hurts like hell! all in all, this has been a summer that i wont be sad to say goodbye to at all. im hoping that all of you guys have some better stories and i can live through you all..... tell me some WONDERFUL things that have done this summer! oh - and i missed you guys! well the summer started off sad for me because my brother died, but it was great seeing all the rest of my family and meeting my birth mom and brother.
then there was the usual going all over texas watching my youngest play basketball, and the drama that ensues on the team of 11, 12-13 year old girls then we went to San Francisco me and my youngest and had a great weekend, met up with the "birth" fam and had a barbeque, went to the city and did touristy things, saw other family who hadn't seen this kid in 6 years my puppy dog is much better now even with the bad hips, he's getting shots every week. now that basketball is over we will be spending weekends at the lake or some other water outlet of choice--cause DAMN ITS HOTTTT. Then school starts back and so do the sports with the first volleyball game on sept 4 not anxious for fall at all because He's deploying again in September this time to Afghanistan We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.
