1. In your own opinion, what is a gay scene? Are you a part of it?

2. How much personal time do you demand a week? A day? Does it fluctuate?

3. The org ebbs and flows obviously. Do you take the stance that it used to be much better, or is it pretty much the same as always?

4. If you could pick a favorite year on the org for you, which would it be and why?

5. Are you going to England in January? ky

1. In your own opinion, what is a gay scene? Are you a part of it?

A scene is about conforming, which is what we all do, to some exent, to function in whatever scene you exist. If more than one person dresses up in the same kind of attire and gather it's a scene. Be it straight, gay, nerd, preppy, uppity class or hell's angels.

I am part of whatever suits me at the time, but I am not a part of one scene in particular. It totally depends on what my state of mind is at the time.
This grew over the years. I've been a nerd that transformed into a goth before it was an actual scene, then a gay clubber, then a recluse, then a prep until I finally understood I am best served if I am just myself. But I took something of everything with me.

2. How much personal time do you demand a week? A day? Does it fluctuate?

Personal time? What do you mean? Off days? Holiday? I work 40 hours a week. Less since I have been ill. I am still trying to get back into the groove and this is the first friday since re-integrating that I do not feel totally knackered.

Just a little knackered, but the good kind brought on by honest. hard work.

3. The org ebbs and flows obviously. Do you take the stance that it used to be much better, or is it pretty much the same as always?

It comes and goes. Ever since the closure of 3121 or the NPGmc or whatever it's called, there's been a huge influx with religious and oversexed 30/40-something women that kind of clutter the Prince Music and More and turn the MORE into what I consider drivle.

For the rest I just still come here for old friends, some new pals and the fact the the Music Non-Prince forum is ace, in between the fucking Jackson and Madonna threads. I am not part of the Org Music Club with gusto for nothing, you know. I really, really, really love Sander's initiative.

4. If you could pick a favorite year on the org for you, which would it be and why?

2002, probably. Nathan, Ian, Tracy, Karfen, Zandi, Toni, bitch fights preceding the first European Invasion. My move from chat room to forums. All good. Then you and Phil arrived and it went to the dogs.

5. Are you going to England in January? ky

Depends on if Philipp is playing hard to get or not.
[grin]
, No, but serious. Ayedunno. I am pondering a trip to Ellie & Jon & Charlie is long overdue. THat will probably happen THIS year, though.

How hard is it for an American to immigrate to Holland?

Not so easy. Thing is, if you marry a Dutch guy, you can come over as spouse, even if yer a guy.

If you have the right reason/papers (job or study) then it's quite easy.

he's got spelling-issues, remember??? whofarted

1. Do you think we'd get along in real life?

Sure. Easy peasy. You are an internet loudmouth, but a pussy in real life. You'd be grossed out by the drunk Bierman/Hagen combo, but at the same time, you'l love us. Lots.

.

falloff fuck yeah, he would!!! lol

I must admit, I do not know. You can never tell. I have met so many people from the net and sometimes you hit it off, other times a formerly cozy online relationship is mangled cuz you just don't get eachother in real life.

But I have the feeling you and I would get along foine. I am drawn to you because you remind me so much of my sister. Fun, down to earth and a keen eye when it comes to photography.

You have always been so encouraging to me with my photography smile nod I reckon we would get along swell - I like to laugh and have fun, so if you do too, we would get along excellently!

Just so-so, alas. Maybe it will turn. The weather is brooding and hot, so not the kind of weather to be doing hard work. So I am going to lazy about, read a book.

You?

I am sure we would. I am so bummed out you live where you live and that I live where I live. If we had been closer, we would have been able to meet up and I could have introduced you to my sister. You could go out take pics while the men babysit.

Yes, the weather is almost unbearable here. Visiting a friend today, celebrating his birthday and looking forward to that. Still, the mood could be better.

So, what is your ONE favorite Bowie song?

Goodmorning Herman biggrin

The weather here is fine, sunny and all.
Enjoying my selfmade Senseo (dark roasted, black no sugar or milk) coffee and making a Sonja Bakker grocery list boxed

What book are you going to read?

Sound And Vision was my fave song as a kid and even though I have found new appreciation for and understanding of how the lyrics were perceived, it still brings me simple joy whenever I listen to it.

The other Bowie songs on my fave list are Andy Warhol (an edit, though), Repetition, Cactus, This Is Not America and the Lohner remix of Bring Me The Disco King, via Dawntreader.

And of course anything off Low.

The weather here is already waaaay too hot. I am going to do hardly anything today.
I did not have coffee yet. Self-made Senseo. Uhmmmm. Coffee Traitor.
(for non-Senseo users; it's a coffee pad machine. Not real coffee.
Sonja Bakker? Fuck all that; I just had a bananensoes. It makes me strangely happy, so that means I should get the Bakker book as well.
(forn non-Dutchies; Sonja Bakker is a really irritating woman that got VERY rich off some slimming books)
And I am going to finish Geheimen Van Het Wilde Woud today.
(for non-Dutchies, Geheimen (translating Secrets Of The Wild Forest) is the sequel to another kiddies book that just got adapted for the big screen. I wanted to read the first book before I went to see the movie and now I have moved on to the second book)

Oooh, and when that is finished, I am going to start in John Irving's Until I Find You, which I bought for 7 euro 95. Hardcover and all! I was so psyched to be able to pick up such a nice edition for so little.
