Oh lawd, Ben Hur is so long, 50 times equals the average human lifespan lol

Ben Hur is actually my first memory of a movie ever. I was a wee tiny tot when my mom watched it in a movie theatre in Thailand. I remember being horrified by it. lol ( I couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 years of age).

nod I know, longer than a muthafucka but it's worth it just to see Charlton semi-nude for most of it. drooling But Gone with the Wind and Cleopatra are also long as hell but I LOVE cuddling up on a cold or rainy Sunday, with a pint of ice cream and watching these movies. cloud9 And I very rarely skip scenes.

I guess I saw "Turtles" as a kind at least 5 - 6 times or so. The movies I re-watched the most would be "The Godfather" and "The Godfather II" and "Batman Begins". I've seen The Godfather at least 10 times and I always find a something new there. These films are endlessly fascinating, IMO.

Shall we watch them together?

batting eyes

Oh yes! Problem is, we'd propably watch the first 10 minutes and then we'll be on the floor making our own movie.

I kind of like that notion.

Really, you thought I'd let you off the hook for ten minutes?

Think again...

Amadeus, at least once a year since it came out on video.
Ever After, once every two years.

Oh, and why? A movie has to touch me.

Amadeus moves me on all fronts; great acting, great music, loads of humour. Yet it goes deep. I like that.

Ever After is almost perfect; fun story, sweet acting, great supporting cast, great costumes and amazing locations.

Scary Movie. But I refuse to have my overall outlook on life, the quality of my sense of humor, or my Intelligence Quota be decided fundamentally on that fact. I am not an airhead, 24/7. Sometimes I feel like busting loose, man! And besides, The Wayans Bros. are/were funny as hell at one point.

There's a few movies I've watched numerous times (which I have all on DVD), but Wrath of Khan has to be one of my most watched films. I lost track when it got around 100 or so.

What is the most you've ever re-watched a movie? (Come on, I know some of you saw Titanic at least 10 times lol ).

On average, how many times will you watch a movie you like?

What do you look for when you re-watch the movie? What draws you back to them?

I love watching the following movies over and over:

Under the Cherry Moon
Clerks 2
The goonies
Weird Science
pretty in pink
sixteen candles
Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

A good story is a good story - whether it's the first time or the hundredth.

There are some movies with which I'm like a little kid with a bedtime story, "Mommy, read it again." No matter how many times I've seen them, the magic doesn't go away. cool

Ottensen

I have a whole list I've been re-watching for as long as I can remember them being out. I hang on to them because there's usually some strength/flaw in the characters I indentify with. Off the top of my head, a chunk of my permannent "re-watch" collection includes:

1. A Star Is Born (Streisand version)
2. Lady Sings the Blues
3. The Rose
4. Fame
5. Siesta
6. Carmen
7. Betty Blue
8. Amor Brujo
9. Women On The Verge of A Nervous Breakdown
10. Peter's Friends
11. Jane Eyre
12. Sense & Sensibility
13. The Last Seduction
14. Jade
15. Bye Bye Love
16. The Story of Us
17. Steel Magnolias
18. Isn't She Great
19. Hero
20. Joy Luck Club
21. Under The Tuscan Sun
22. My House In Umbria
23. Prince of Tides
24 Divine Secrets of the Ya-ya Sisterhood
25. Tortilla Soup

All of these get a viewing maybe once a year, usually when I'm feeling reflective... butterfly
