E3 is upon us, what do you think so far?

Are RTS games still the rage?

I haven't played an RTS since the LOTR one was released a few years back. My favorite game of all time is an RTS--Ages of Mythology, Titans Expansion.

Not till next year most likely. Starcraft 2 is coming out first then the WoW expansion then this will come out.

On another note Activison/Blizzard are too good for E3 now so technically this shouldn't be in here They had their version of E3 2 weeks ago.


Anyway theres been a few interesting things announced. The playable stuff for Fallout 3 just sounds amazing and I cant wait to get my hands on it!

All the Nintendo stuff sounds cool too. The whole motion add on will be an interesting addition for them...assuming they make good games for it. Imagine a 1 Vs 1 Star Wars lightsabre battles!

The one thing that I'm curious as to how it will work is the Wii Speak mic, if its meant to be placed on your TV how will it pick up your voice if your sitting away from the TV? And how will it know not to pick up the in game sounds....

The Microsoft stuff didn't really surprise me, the whole "avatar" Mii60 ripoff was just a cheap shot at Nintendo (although Nintendo heads had a shot back at them during their presentation saying people need to come up with original, innovating ideas, not just clones ) Although Fable 2 sounds like its going to live up to all the hype (hopefully!)

I can't wait for Fallout 3.

I just gotta decide if I wanna get it for my PC or 360

If you have a good enough PC get it for that as you will be able to download mods and all the like for it and if theres an extra content to be made for it (which knowing Bethesda there will be) it will be free, unlike the 360 where they will charge you money for it.

I was most impressed by the Xbox/Netflix partnership. I was going to buy the $100 box from Netflix and now I already have it in my living room!

Thats true about Nintendo, but still at least they are taking risks with the Wii and not playing it safe like Microsoft & Sony have with their consoles. And it really has paid off for them too. The Wii AND DS have been 1 and 2 on the console sales for ages now and for a handheld console to be outselling the big consoles is just awesome!

I can't wait to see how this GTA for the DS turns out tho!

The only things I'm interested in are "Lego Batman" (for the kids, of course ) and "Lord of the Rings: Conquest" which should be right up my alley since I'm a long-time "Star Wars: Battlefront" player (Pandemic is the developer) and also immensely enjoy "Lord of the Rings Online". Gotta wait until Thursday for that one, though.

LotR Conquest does sounds appealing, I just hope there is a good amount of units to choose from, and I hope it isn't going to be like the movie games, which doesn't sound like it will but there still a chance. They were good and all but I'm looking for more of an epic feel to it

I assume it will need a beast of a system to run it smoothly, luckily mine is. But you get that when you spend $3k on a PC I would also assume they will be using DX10! Can't wait to see my PC pump out some chronic shit with that! Crysis looks good and all but Fallout will blow that away!
