Manarexia? What's up with all of these skinny dudes on TV, Mario Lopez, etc. It's like all of these Dudes suffer from Manarexia. It's also effecting the fashion world. Everytime I go to be a shirt the only size these stores are caring is Smedium. Most dress shirts now a days I can barely fit my arms in. They are making men's clothes so small now adays. What used to be a 30 size waist is now a 32 in some stores. What's the deal?

Mario Lopez is fit, not anorexic. Everytime I go to be a shirt the only size these stores are caring is Smedium. Most dress shirts now a days I can barely fit my arms in. They are making men's clothes so small now adays. What used to be a 30 size waist is now a 32 in some stores. What's the deal?
Uh, not sure what stores you go to, but I have a hard time finding my waist size (27 or 28) in most. Banana Republic has stopped making some of their lines in anything below a 30. Abercrombie carries a 28 that fits like a 36 (and don't get me started on their dress shirts, which are only made for tall boys). At an average store, I'll find one 28 and most of the sizes are 34+.

If anything clothes are getting bigger. An XL shirt now comes down past my knees, presumably to cover my underwear since my pants are being worn just above the knees. My Legacy

David Spade is skinny. Not Mario. Right. I was going to say that. I envy Slater. Even though Zack and Screech were cooler. Now, Dustin Diamond's a legitimate loser. BOGUS! This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

Mario lopez probably weighed more when he was on saved by the bell. He is cut up but he is way too small. He looks tiny with his shirt on.
As far as clothes go, it seems like casual clothes are way bigger than they used to be ( HIp hop culture) I'm referring to dress clothes. I can't even buy a shirt in Banana or express for men. Besides mens clothes are too small. Sometimes it's hard to tell the men's clothes from the women's. Especially all of the men's jeans look like Jordache jeans from the eighties with those feminine designs on the pockets.

mario lopez might have gymorexia but i wouldn't call it manorexia. i've seen some manorexic mfs, it's not pretty. i don't know why it has to be called "manorexia" because the person is male. anorexia is anorexia.

I'm so sick of the "maling" of already established terms. Things like "guyliner" drive me crazy--no, dude, you're just wearing eyeliner. If you can't own up to it, don't put it on.

Manarexia just sounds funny. I've been using the term for years. as far as i'm concerned i've invented the term.

True, and maybe it shouldn't be a joke (as "manorexia" obviously is). But the term actually addresses the fact that it's basically thought of as only a woman's problem. But manorexic men indicate otherwise! My Legacy

You think Mario Lopez is "skinny"?????
Wow. Well, having been accused of this myself i'll just say this. i'm 5'9". at one point in my life i weighed 190 lbs. i hated how i looked. and i certainly wasn't healthy. so i went vegan, started exercising, and i've been 130 lbs for a few years now. some people think that's thin. i think it's right for my frame. and i eat. i may not eat what some people think i should eat, but i eat. plenty. now fashion does the same thing to men as they do to women where skinny seams to be in these days. whatever. be healthy. be happy. 'nuff said. http://www.facebook.com/p...111?ref=ts

So are the women (I'm assuming here) you date smaller than you are?

People don't realize that there is no way that Mario Lopez walks around everyday looking like he did in People Magazine photos.
He probably had to serious reduce his caloric intake down to near nothing to be that cut. Not only would he have to cut out food, but he would have to severely reduce his salt and water intake for a couple of days. This is seriously dangerous for anyone to do. There is no way he could be cut like that on a everyday basis. He just got that cut for the photo shoot. If he maintained that kind of body weight all the time he probably would be dead soon. I bet his body fat was near 3% in that photo. That's definitely not healthy. All joking aside, I think he has an eating disorder. Shit, the guy has to be around 32 years old by now. No adult man should be that thin.

It's about Jaimestarr being able to buy some nice stylish clothes and not starving himself to buy an outfit. Guys don't have enough options when it comes to shopping. We used to have Structures but when it became Express for Men, the clothes became smaller and more feme. And Banana have never sold men's clothes in normal men's sizes. Everyone can't rock the Smedium size. That's all. [Edited 7/10/08 12:33pm]
