superman, I don't know you but if I were you I would just dismiss the asshole who said this about your dad.....being in an online-environment you will always encounter dipshits like these. Fact of the matter is that these people are fucking losers IRL and here they act as if they're quite somebody, hiding behind their online-persona.
I can see why you're upset, your dad has put his life on the line for his country in a war which, in the end, turned out to have been wrong.....still he was there for his country and he did his duty!  And then some leftist asshole, probably born in 1976 and knows jackshit, comes here and just says he was a rapist in Vietnam....
Like someone has said earlier already: eventhough you don't support a war, never let down the troops who are serving your country! I am Dutch, and eventhough I don't always agree with American politics and their wars, it is always the Americans who stick out their heads first.....and that is something I very much respect the Americans for! i probably shouldn't even comment on this, but it bugs the living crap out of me. that is some drama queen shit. first of all, it's the internet. people feel more comfortable saying just about anything because they can. why on earth you'd be discussing personal shit like your father with someone else on the internet is beyond me. whatever. i wouldn't do it. but even beyond that. if someone pissed me off enough to where i feel like i'd have to completely disconnect from some website because someone pissed me off/hurt my feelings, WHY ANNOUNCE IT???? JUST GO!!!!! otherwise it comes across as whiny and desperate for attention and looking for people to tell you "not to go".
