How so? What kind of shows are on it?

Lifetime has different movies on, as well as some sitcoms such as "Reba" and "The Golden Girls".

its not the sitcoms
its some of the man bashing movies/series they show. I know its about real life situations but sometimes it also gives women (not all) ideas or thoughts
life what if my man is.....
or this is how im gonna get back at him if.....
It never really shows the good side of relationships or what men can and will do in a good marriage.

I know a few women that sit at home all day and watch this shit.

Oh weird. We don't get that channel in Canada. We have 'Slice' which I think is sorta like it.

Do you watch it often yourself? Just curious how you came to this conclusion.

Oh ok...but I do think it's a little odd that one can come to a such a definitive conclusion like this without even actually seeing the programs that are being played.

I'm not even trying to dispute what you're saying because I've never seen it myself.

I was just curious is all.

I would rather see Christmas movies than watch Meredith Baxter Birney in Where's My Breast for the 50th time.

I personally LOVE the Golden Girls. I think they should make the Lifetime network programming just Golden Girls 24 hours a day.

All of the cable channels do show the same movies over and over again, it gets sooo annoying. lol I love the Golden Girls too, that show always makes me laugh.

They are showing Christmas movies on July 4th. disbelief Who the hell wants to watch Christmas movies in July? Isn't it bad enough that they already push the Christmas season upon us, seemingly earlier and earlier each year? lol lol

Edited to say, yes I have heard of Christmas in July, but I don't like to think about winter weather when it's nice and summery outside.

When I was younger (and still lived in the US) I was an avid fan of Lifetime TV for Women, especially their "Intimate Portrait" series. But honestly, I never watched alot of the movies because I couldn't relate to them . I was watching the channel when Texas moms were putting hits on their daughters rival cheerleaders, celebrity women were getting butchered, and men's lovers were showng up on doorsteps to kill them or their wives. Even so, for women that still watch the channel, I find it hard to believe that any clearly self-defined woman would be so weak minded that they would be twisted and turned out by a "movie of the week" when examining her personal relationships. Whether one's relationships are thriving and productive, or marred, tainted, toxic & unhealthy, I honestly think Lifetime TV has little influence on the dynamics of a woman's life, at least if a woman has some sense of clarity and isn't in dire need of a hotline number for a serious isssue hmmm

Lifetime has really gone to the crapper with their movies. It's all sappy romance/family movies. They used to show based on true stories crime movies. I only watch Golden Girls on there now. The best movie in a years was the Green River Killer movie. I was pretty happy they decided to air that.
